@Subvet -- Very good point on how many restaurants there are outside of the parks. Personally, except for a few in Epcot, I'd rather eat at the hotels or downtown disney much of the time! Got any tips for those "under $20" meals? Would love to see your "favorites list"

@LeCellierBuff -- I don't know, Jim...I always thought you might be slightly "baby goat" like...are you sure? Laughing out loud

Thanks for sharing the pics subvetss. I have never made it over to Trail's End although I've heard nothing but good things about it. I never even realized Fort Wilderness was there for a long time. It seems almost like you could do a whole trip just with the activities there.

Good point. There's a LOT to do there -- campfire with Chip and Dale, carriage ride, hay ride, bike rental, boat rental, horseback riding...

One other activity that I must mention is the Hoop De Doo Review, I have been a few times and I never get tired of it. The last time I went, which was last December, The wife and I had the most fun at WDW that we ever have had. We were seated next to the stage and the female lead ( I forget her name) started in on picking on me for my SLIGHT lack of hair etc. etc. and the male lead picked up on it and they ragged on me the whole night. She kept coming of the stage and sitting on my lap running her hands through my hair and my wife was laughing so hard she almost had to get up to go to the ladies room. It was so hilarious that at the end of the show I had people coming up to me to tell me what a good sport I was and during the show I overheard someone at an adjoining table tell someone else at their table that I was a plant and part of the show. Believe me, I was NOT. Wife and I MOST heartily reccomend HDDR.

Great story, vette! You sure you weren't a plant?!? (Maybe you should have gotten a cut of the profits!)

Lou Mongello of the Walt Disney World Radio Show, was posting pics from Fort Wilderness yesterday. He took one of the segue tours, and then went horseback riding I think.

He's also tweeting audio while at Disney. It was pretty cool.

Well, it's been a while since greebil asked so I'll ask again. Has anybody taken the Segway Tour and if so, how was it? I would love to do this one day! We tried the demo in , I think it was Innoventions , were you could ride them around the room back and forth, but that was it.

No sir, haven't ridden one. I've seen the tours go by in Epcot and have seen the advertisements for them at Fort Wilderness as well; they look really cool.

I nominate you and Scrappy to sign up while you're there and report back!

Hi,

I'm 45 years old and will be 46 on August 10. I'm just an overgrown child (I hesitate to use "kid" as I am not a baby goat). Never married, as I feel that I'm better at being Mr. Left than at Mr. Right (or maybe just afraid of commitment, as my first of three ex-girlfriends once told me), I spend a great deal of time by myself and often act like someone whose age is the sum of the digits in mine.

Jim

OMG Jim,
I'm a female version of you. I'm even your same age. Scary huh. waiting

Jim's pretty great. It'll be fun to have a female Jim around here. But, have you eaten the giant porterhouse at Shula's like Jim has?
