Weather still holding up around here but cloudy today. I am taking the day off working outside. I need to finish up my TR before I forget about it.
Walking outside everyday. Yesterday, I washed the outside of the house, so I am doing weights today instead. Figured I got my workout doing that yesterday! Everyone have a super-fantastic day!! wink

Well it's another day of rain.. yuck ...And it doesn't look any better for the weekend..My band were scheduled to play in a outside concert at our town castle on Saturday, along with other local bands..I would say that one won't get off the ground..Diet is still going well..A mixture of veg and meat but smaller portions, and I've been doing a buffet type meal on Saturday nights, instead of the usual takeaway..Anyway..Keep warm and safe brothers & sisters..Keep dancing.. banana

Got some walking in this weekend but mostly worked on our kitchen remodel. We took down the rest of the upper cabinets. We ran to Ikea and ordered my new ones yesterday! They will be here in two weeks. I am soo excited!!
Errands to do today. Then walking this evening. DH late tonight from a meeting so leftovers warmed up for him!
Everybody take care and have a great day!Smile

Good morning all! Hey King Fergus, that dinner sounds good! What's in your chili bread?
It dropped down in the 30s last night, but that is what Spring does here. Eating oatmeal with blueberries and watching weather channel. They just showed the Disney weather report. At least someone is having great weather! Lol
My DH came in from work yesterday and asked if we could go back now! Bad when it has only been a couple of weeks and you need a vacation! laugh
After it warms up, mowing the yard and getting some fresh air today. DH's birthday tomorrow so we will be out and about. Keep your fingers crossed! We are tearing down wall between kitchen and living room this weekend. Hope it goes quickly. We are soo excited to see how it opens up the rooms!
Dinner is pasta primavera with lots of grilled vegs.
Hope you have a great weekend and keep moving and happy!! awesome

I make my own garlic butter. I then chop up chillies and add to a blender with a few knobs of garlic butter, and a splash of olive oil...A quick whizz...And spread it on the baguette ...

That sounds delicious, King!

Today is nearly 70 yay so DS and I took a walk down to the park to play for an hour. It also looks like I got a decent tan while we were there awesome It feels so nice to have the windows open and hear the birds chirp!!

I've also been walking on the treadmill at the gym every other day, usually on a high incline. I was just doing it to burn more calories than walking flat (and I can't run or jog without huffing and puffing like crazy lol), but my mom pointed out yesterday that it will give me a lot more stamina for walking at Disney, so I'll be ready to go go go! mickey

Okay, I admitted earlier in this thread that I wasn't planning to run in anything, but i was working out to be...well....smaller for the Sept trip. I was doing great! Pilates everyday and 2 mile treadmill or walk every day.
THEN.....

I was in a little bakery we love, just picking up a loaf of rye for DH, when I needed to visit the ladies room. It was upstairs (obviously not handicap accessible) and to conserve energy you turn the light on upon entry. Logic would say, "Walk slowly or better yet - STOP until you see the inside". But I just moved on and didn't see the ceramic STEP in the middle of the small bathroom (I would love to talk to the person who designed this place). I hit it and landed my side into the sink. After three days of growing discomfort, I had it checked -

Results: 2 broken ribs and a third has a hairline crack. Yipee. 4-6 weeks in a rib wrap, motrin (can't take regular pain pills as they make me sick), lots of ice, restricted movement and lifting (duh... the scream and/or moan tells me that).

I played in our local campus band that night (I am the oboe) and the director at one point asked if someone was humming while the piece was being played. I had to admit that was me moaning.....sigh. Trip is in 155 days...divided by 30....crap...about 4 months...to recover and get back in shape.....AND we found our final retirement home and we are moving July 1st and I am playing oboe/english horn for the summer musical. Pray for FAST healing......
Disney never looked so good.

Oh my. I will definitely pray for a complete and "quick" healing. I don't know how you managed to play the oboe that night. You definitely are made of hardy stock milady!

Good grief tink! What is it with us trippers??

I get you on the rib pain. Mine is just a contusion but it hurts almost worse than the wrist. And those painkillers make me sick too!

Soo sorry for this - please take it easy if you can.

I play clarinet by the way and work for the Atlanta Symphony part time as a floor supervisor for concerts. mickey

Good morning! Hope everyone had a great weekend. It was so beautiful here. But all must end and we have rain on the way and frost for two nights. This is April and I never get by without covering up my peonies at least once every year. Lol
Hope you get well soon, OldTink!
Philhowelldesign, congrats on the weight loss! Way to go!
Walking 4 miles today plus weight workout today. Dinner is grilled veggies and brown rice. Gotta eat healthy since we are visiting DD next weekend and going out to eat.Smile
Everyone try to stay safe and healthy this week. Move it, move it!

I didn't mention that we just signed the lease on our retirement place (a townhouse) near the friends that are going with us AND I had already signed on to play pit orchestra this summer. Disney bubble never sounded so good, although at this rate weight loss may be iffy.
