Come on PJ! Time to get back on track!!
Mr Ferret and disneydoc are ahead of us! laugh
I have started mine today by watching what I am eating. Plus, getting up and moving more. Today, I am walking for 30 mts indoors cause it is rainy and cool. Then, getting out my 3 lb weights and stretching. No more cakes and cookies for awhile!!

My first yoga class this AM! Was pleased that so many of the stretches & poses (plank, downward dog) are already part of my routine. But my balance and strength needs some work! I don't wNt to feel as tired and draggy on my April trip as I did in November!

Cool! It's always good when you already know some of what they are teaching you. I watch some yoga dvds and they show what to do and I am like what?? how is my body supposed to do that?? That's why I don't go to classes. I can rewind my dvds as much as I want to! biggrin

Good Monday morning!! At least the sun is out here today!! clapping It has been so dark and rainy and gloomy this past week that I have wanted to scream. I love doing my walking outdoors much better than inside. And it has been too bad to get out for a solid week. We finally got a reprieve from the rain yesterday afternoon. Finally got my outdoors walk and fresh air!
Disneydoc made a comment about feeling draggy the last trip to wdw. That is how I feel if I don't get up and move during the winter. I need sunshine all the time. So, I am kicking up my walks and workouts another notch this year. Even gaining a lb or two makes me feel sluggish and lazy. I have also started incorporating my quinoa salads and fresh veggies into lunches to give me energy for the rest of the day.
So here's to all of us trying to keep healthy and fit and energetic for our next trip to the world!! awesome

My New Years' Resolution is to shed some pounds (25-50 lbs.) before our next Disney trip in May. I start back in the gym today for 3-4 times a week. Cut back on the Margaritas, too rolling

The head ache should pass. Make sure you are eating some carbs! The good complex kind.

Thanks it's slowly going (think she had some sort of bug as well) Sad
Getting back into a regular walking routine so that is helping.
Both of us feel better in ourselves already even after this short amount of time Smile

Made it to the gym for 5 days in a row! I am actually setting the treadmill at a pace that would not get me "swept" on a Disney 5k.....just in case - you never know..... biggrin

Today was Leg Day. My legs were sore from my Total Body Cardio Day on Monday. But the stretching felt great and I am not shuffling around like I was yesterday. This round of the 21 day fitness challenge, I upped my weights and MAN...I am feeling it. So that means it was time to kick it up a notch.

I am proud of all of you! All you have to be is better than you were yesterday. One more round, one more step, one more rep.

Good morning! Everyone is doing so well on their fitness routines! Wow it is so nice to hear everyone working out. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one that works out in my family other than my DH. But, now I have this WDW family that is wanting to be healthy too. Congrats to all of you!

I am working out inside again. It is that polar plunge here that we are getting today. In the low 30s with 20-30 mph winds and gusts to 40 mph. Not very good weather for walking outside so inside for me today. Mixing it up with some weights and stretching.

Do you guys feel like you sleep better when you work out each day? I do. I can definately tell a difference if I find some reason to put it off until the next day or get busy and don't work out.

Also, do you guys have a special dietary guideline that you adhere to while you are exercising? Please share with everyone if you have cut down or eliminated certain foods. That will help all of us succeed. Thanks!

For my diet:
I eliminated Dairy and Soy on my own. No High Fructose Corn Syrup. Organic when possible (especially for anything that grows IN the ground).

I used an altered version of the 21 Day Fix Eating Plan. If you use "the google" you can find it by searching "21 day fix eating plan". It is basically portion control. XX many fruits/veggies xx many proteins etc. Since I have seafood and fish allergies I took the plan to my doctor who reviewed it for me and altered the food options. It makes an assumption that you are exercising every day.

The exercises are 3 weeks on then 1 week off. The protein shakes are not required, I use about 3 a week.

It works for me. I have lost a total of 35 pounds in a year.

Good work PJ!! Yeah I truly believe in portion control while eating healthy and a variety of foods. We do pretty good most of the time. Except like when it's cold like today and I wanted warm brownies! eek
