‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Opening Night Event at Walt Disney World Resort is Sold Out

Earlier this week Disney announced a special event for the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The "Opening Night Event" is planned for December 17 and includes a showing of the new film followed by a private after-hours party at Disney's Hollywood Studios. And as of today, the event is completely sold out.

The party at Disney's Hollywood Studios will include access to the new Star Wars Launch Bay exhibit, a chance to ride Star Tours: The Adventure Continues, a DJ dance party, and a preview of the new fireworks set to the Star Wars score.

Tickets for the event were $94.99 for the 2D showing, $98.99 for 3D, and $99.99 for 3D EXT.

The final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuted during Monday Night Football and tickets for showings of the film went on sale that night. Several of the online ticket sites experienced outages due to overwhelming demand for tickets.

If you weren't able to get tickets to the Opening Night Event, at least you can watch the final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens over and over again.
