Avatarland Delayed?

Could work on an "Avatar"-based land within Walt Disney World be delayed? According to online reports, the answer is yes.

The reports say work on the sequels (yes, sequels with an "s") to the blockbuster 2009 film has not yet started and no release dates have been set for either "Avatar 2" or "Avatar 3." This stall could spill over to "Pandora: The World of Avatar" - the "Avatarland" that is slated to be built in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

It appears "creative differences" between "Avatar" mastermind and director James Cameron and Disney Imagineers are to blame for the delay. We'll keep you posted if any other news about "Avatarland" (or lack thereof) comes about.

Good. I hope the project dies in development. Avatar does not have the mufti-generational love that Harry Potter has as a means to draw in visitors. AK's money would be better spent investing in ways to keep the park open after dark & doing the fantastical beasts area as originally planned.

I didn't even see the movie (am I the only one) so no big loss to me. I agree with Rachel!

Brian - No, I didn't see it either. Well, I guess I've seen it walking by when someone else was watching it in the living room, but I've never sat down to watch the entire thing.
