D23 Destination D: Attraction Rewind Celebrating Disney Attractions from the Past

If you're a fan of extinct Disney World attractions, the D23 Destination D: Attraction Rewind event is one you don't want to miss.

D23: The Official Disney Fan Club is hosting the event that will honor Disney attractions of years gone by including 'If You Had Wings' and '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' through stories, vintage videos, and concept art.

The two-day event takes place November 22 and 23 at the Walt Disney World Resort.

One full day of the event will be dedicated to the New York World's Fair of 1964-65, and Disney Legends including Marty Sklar, Bob Gurr, and Alice Davis will be on hand for presentations and panels in honor of the 50th anniversary of the World's Fair where 'it's a small world' and 'Carousel of Progress' debuted.

The two-day event ends with a special nighttime party called 'Pleasure Island: Rewind' featuring areas dedicated to former Pleasure Island favorites including the Adventurers Club, Comedy Warehouse, 8 Trax, and more.

Tickets for D23 Destination D: Attraction Rewind go on sale for D23 Gold and Silver Members on April 16 at 10 a.m P.T. Tickets are $190 each.

Any remaining tickets will be made available to D23 Free Members on May 28 at 10 a.m. P.T. for $250 per ticket.

I thought the carousel of progress was introduced at world fair in 1962? I'm pretty sure that's what the ride tells us at the beginning of the ride. I remember because it's my favorite ride and the year I was born.
