Details Emerge Regarding Food & Wine Fest

The International Food & Wine Festival at Epcot is a guest-favorite, and this year it's back with a few new flavors. This year's theme for the ever-popular fest is "Passport to a World of Flavors."

First off: new food. As you know, part of the festival are the food stations that dot Epcot's World Showcase and offer tastes of a global variety of various ethnic cuisines. This year, Portgual, Hawaii, and the Caribbean Islands will be taking their place for the first time as part of the food offerings in the Showcase. Expect to see Calamari Salad from Portugal, Kailua Pork Sliders from Hawaii, and Ropa Vieja from the Caribbean Islands.

Next, guests will have a new place to hang out, indulge in an adult beverage and charge up wireless gadgets. This year, the new Odyssey Lounge is set to open in time for the festival, and is said to be a kind of "internet cafe."

And, what would a Disney festival be without some accompanying activities? This year, guests will have a chance to participate in seminars, culinary demonstrations as well as events such as 3D Dessert Discovery and Party for the Senses. Guests can expect to start booking these special events August 16.

This year's Food & Wine Festival is set to start September 30 and will run through November 13.
