The next time you're visiting Epcot and you're looking for something different to do while in Future World you can stop by the Magic Eye Theater and check out the new Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival. The "festival" gives guests a chance to experience three animated shorts.
In the Short Film Festival guests are given 3D glasses to view three short films: Get a Horse, For The Birds, and La Luna. According to Disney the films will "burst to life on the big screen (and in the theater).
In Get a Horse you'll be able to hear Walt Disney voice Mickey Mouse. The black-and-white hand-drawn film tells the story of Mickey, Minnie, and their friends Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow as they take in a musical wagon ride.
For The Birds tells the story of a small flock of birds sitting on a telephone wire who decide to make fun of a large "dopey bird" but their behavior "proves embarrassing in the end."
In La Luna a young boy discovers his family's unusual line of work when he joins his Papa and Grandpa one night out at sea.
The Short Film Festival is included in your Epcot admission.

How long are the short films? I'm trying to plan our (husband and me) weekend trip next month. It's our first trip to Disney sans kids.

My wife and I took this in. It doesn't take a lot of time out of your day, it makes good use of the vacated space, and I enjoyed the concept of blending the old with the new in the 'Get a Horse' short. It's not the sort of thing your kids are going to drag you to, but if you have a bit of down time to fill (especially now that Soarin' is dark), and you want to rest your feet for a bit, it's an interesting little diversion.
