The classic Disney Parks attraction 'it's a small world' is celebrating its 50th anniversary and fans can join in the celebration through a global sing-along.
Disney created the website SmallWorld50.com as a "global hub" of music and harmony where guests can record videos of themselves singing the attraction's theme song. Guests can also create virtual 'it's a small world' dolls to benefit UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund).
And, on April 10, guests and cast members from Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland will unite their voices as they sing the theme song from 'it's a small world.'
To celebrate the launch of SmallWorld50.com, Disney Parks released a video that featured people from around the world singing "It's a Small World." The video was filmed across six continents in more than 25 countries.
The Walt Disney Company is also donating $150,000 to benefit UNICEF, plus $1 for every sing-along video recorded on SmallWorld50.com, plus another $1 for every virtual doll created, up to $100,000.
