Kiama the Baby Rhino Makes Her Debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Earlier this year a baby white rhino was born at Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney fans took to the Internet to vote on a name for the new addition. The baby rhino was named Kiama and she recently made her debut with mom Kendi on the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction.

Kiama weighs in at 400 pounds and is gaining three or four pounds a day. The young rhino will stay close to her mom for the most part but she is also exploring her new home.

Guests can see Kiama and her mom daily at the Animal Kingdom, and if you're interested in helping save the rhinos guests are encouraged to support the Disney Conservation Fund and the International Rhino Foundation. Both groups are involved in rhino conservation and rhino research.

Kiama's mom Kendi was born at Disney's Animal Kingdom in 1999.
