Late Night at Disney -- What's Your "Goodnight Kiss?"

Disney fans have come to expect a "Goodnight Kiss," -- it's the Parks' special way to send guests off with a reminder of the magic bringing us together. Over the years many Disney families have created their own special evening and late night rituals, a sort of private goodnight kiss just for them. Here are some ideas to keep the magic going that makes sure you dream sweetly all vacation long.

Celebrate the Fourth of July at the Walt Disney World Resort!Fourth of July Fireworks at the Walt Disney World

Fireworks: It's just not the end of the night at Disney if the sky isn't filled with sparkling bursts of color. Staying for the evening fireworks spectacular is the way to close down the night with a bang. For a special viewing try the lounge at the top of the Contemporary Resort or book a Fireworks Cruise. Dates and times are flexible, so check the park schedule to find out if you can catch a viewing on Fantasmic, Illuminations or Wishes before you go.

Dip in the Hot Tub: This is my special ritual, I can't imagine not taking a dip before bedtime. Many Disney Resorts feature hot tubs in their pool areas. Though the thermostats are more set on "very warm tub" a quiet dip in the dark can be a relaxing way relieve the day's stress and to sooth tired muscles before heading to bed. Sadly, with the new fenced in pool areas and stricter hours, guests need to be calling it an early night to be able to enjoy a dip before bed.

Night Cap in the Resort Lounge: Send the kids to the video arcade if you have to, but take the time to enjoy a late night drink in one of the Disney Resorts beautifully themed lounges. Often located in the lobby area, it's nice to sit back in a comfortable chair and relax for a few minutes. Just enjoy the time watching the people stream back from the parks. Order your favorite drink or try one of Disney's yummy signature cocktails like the like the Magical Star Cocktail or Blue Glow-tini.

The perky host has all the information you need to get ready for a magical day of adventure, you can drift off to sleep with dreams of what the next morning will bring.

Finally: If you're ready to tuck in and still wanting a sweet treat, you can order up some cookies and milk for the whole family from room service to bring on those sweet Mickey Mouse dreams.
