Marquee for Disney’s 'Aladdin' Arrives on Broadway

Next month marks the beginning of previews for the Broadway musical version of Disney's Aladdin.

The show's marquee on the New Amsterdam Theater was recently updated and it features the Genie in a bottle. Check out the video below from Disney On Broadway showing the transformation.

The musical is based on Disney's Academy Award-winning animated film. The stage version is being directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw and features music by Alan Menken, and lyrics by Tim Rice, Chad Beguelin, and the late Howard Ashman.

The play will include the songs from the film, in addition to other songs written specifically for the Broadway show.

The cast includes Adam Jacobs as Aladdin, Jonathon Freeman as Jafar, James Monroe Iglehart as Genie, and Courtney Reed as Jasmine.

Disney's Aladdin arrives on Broadway for previews beginning February 26, and Opening Night is March 20.
