New Cinderella-Inspired Bridal Gowns Coming in October

This one's for all the brides-to-be who'd like to channel Cinderella on their special day. Alfred Angelo and Disney have teamed up to introduce a limited-edition line of bridal gowns based on the beloved Disney princess.

The Cinderella Diamond Wedding Gown Collection will consist of five gowns in shades of light blue. Each dress will try to capture Cinderella from a different point of view, from sparkling grand ballgowns to more modern dresses that "look as if they were bathed in moonlight." To draw inspiration and create the special line, Alfred Angelo vice president of design Michael Shettel had access to the film's original sketches and concept art.

Says Robert Oberschelp, director of Disney Collections at Disney Consumer Products, of the new line:

We are excited to collaborate with Alfred Angelo on another beautiful, timeless bridal collection and to bring Disney magic to brides on their special day. Cinderella's story is a classic tale of romance and enchantment, and Alfred Angelo's collection captures those magical storytelling details. The Cinderella Diamond Wedding Gown Collection is a fairytale wish come true.

The bridal industry will get a glimpse of the Diamond Wedding Gown Collection later this month at the Chicago Bridal market. After that, the gowns will highlight a press-only runway showing during Couture Bridal Market in New York City on October 12.

October is the same month bridal shops throughout the country will begin carrying the Cinderella-inspired gowns. For more info, brides can check out Alfred Angelo's website.

The release of the new bridal gown line also coincides with the release of Disney's "Cinderella" Diamond Edition this fall.
