New Droid Building Kits Coming To DHS
Ever wanted to have a droid a la Luke Skywalker in Star Wars? Well, you're in luck because the Droid Factory is coming soon to Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Work started on this concept back in 2009, and when the Droid Factory debuts during Star Wars Weekends at DHS, there will be some 71 different pieces guests can choose from to build and name their own 3 3/4 inch droid. Guests choose a dome and body from many different colors and can add in other options like hats.
Product developer Cody Hampton says about the new Droid Factory:
There are literally thousands of combinations making each droid unique. Guests can also name their droids with sticker sheets provided at checkout.
Guests can purchase a single droid pack for $11.95 or a double droid pack for $18.95. Look for the new droids during Star Wars Weekends at Tattoine Traders.

I hope this will be a permanent feature as I am not fortunate enough to be there for the Star Wars weekends.
