Recall of Disney Hoodies and T-Shirts From Target

There's been a recent recall of children's Disney fleece hoodie and t-shirt sets sold at Target during the fall and winter of 2011 by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recall is due to excessive amounts of lead on the hoodie zippers' coatings.

The two-piece sets involved in the recall were sold in Target stores from October 2011 through December 2011 and are of the following color combinations: red/white, gray/red and black/blue. To determine if you are in possession of one of the recalled sets, check the label attached to the hoodie's side seam for the identification number; the following are identification numbers involved in the recall:

  • Red Fleece Hoodie with Snow White DP4253B
  • Grey Fleece Hoodie with Mickey Mouse J4821
  • Blue Fleece Hoodie with Cars J4820-A

At this time, there have been no incidents corresponding to the high lead level reported. However, if you do have a set that's been recalled, you can return it to Target for a full refund, or call the Children's Apparel Network at 1-800-919-1917.
