It's that time of year when everyone is making a list and checking it twice. Currently I have a lot of lists, but my Disney Bucket List is a work in progress. I've been visiting the Walt Disney World Resort since I was a wee little one (way back in 1974) and I'll admit that there are many, many things I have yet to experience at Disney World. A few years ago, after a family vacation, I decided to start writing down things I wanted to do on future visits. I suppose one could say I'm starting my Disney Bucket List.
Earlier this year I shared my Disney dining bucket list and a few of those items have made their way to my all-inclusive Disney Bucket List. But this list isn't all food. It also includes resort hotels, attractions, and more. It's also not a complete list, but just a few of the things I "must" do when it comes to Disney.
Join me in examining some of my Disney Bucket List...
Dinner at Victoria & Albert's: Dining at Victoria & Albert's is my ultimate Disney bucket list item. This signature dining restaurant is one of the most critically-acclaimed restaurants in Florida and is consistently ranked as a AAA five-diamond restaurant. I think I'll make this my 50th birthday destination (which means I have a little less than seven more years to plan!) At Victoria & Albert's a diner can make reservations for the dining room, Queen Victoria Room, or the ultra-exclusive Chef's Table (one seating per night for parties of one to 10). I'd prefer the Chef's Table, but honestly I wouldn't be picky about where to dine at V&A.
A week at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival: As much as I love food one would think that I would make it a priority to get to the Food & Wine Festival every single year. Sadly, that doesn't happen. In fact, I've only been lucky enough to spend just ONE day at the Festival and that was about six years ago. I need to remedy this. Soon. And of course I'd take the "go big or go home" route " eating and drinking everything at the Festival (for research purposes, of course) and enjoying several of the special events, seminars, demos, and more.
The Kitchen Sink Sundae: While we're on the topic of food, I am still vowing to order the Kitchen Sink Sundae one of these days. I don't know who will eat it with me but darn it all...this needs to happen.
Stay at every Walt Disney World Resort hotel: While I have my favorite resort hotels (Wilderness Lodge, Pop Century) it's always fun to stay somewhere new. To date I have stayed at every Deluxe resort hotel except the Contemporary and Yacht Club, and I get to check Yacht Club off my list in March. I still need to stay at all but one of the Moderate resorts (having checked Coronado Springs off the list a few years ago), two of the three All-Star Resorts (Sports and Music), Art of Animation, and all but one of the Deluxe Villas (I've only stayed at Old Key West). I should also add the Swan and Dolphin to the must-stay-at list. This could take a while. ;-)
Eat at every restaurant at Walt Disney World: This might never happen. But it's a good bucket list goal to have even if it will take years and years to finish. And, accomplishing this goal would also help me cross off "eating at Victoria & Albert's" and "eating the Kitchen Sink Sundae." It's good to have goals, don't ya think?
Drinking at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto: Located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, this tiki bar is at the top of my must-visit-bars at Disney World. And I'm happy to report that this item will be check off my bucket list in March.
Experience all the World Showcase attractions in one day: I've almost accomplished this on several occasions, but those darn Circle-Vision films always get in the way. I can't bring myself to stand up and watch a movie, even for just 15 minutes. If you think about it, there are quite a few attractions to experience in Epcot's World Showcase and it could take an entire day if you add in musical acts, films, rides, and shows.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party: I love Disney World during the holidays but I have yet to experience Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. One of these years I'll make it to a party and I can't wait to see snow on Main Street U.S.A. and enjoy all the complimentary treats. Because really, it's all about the free cookies and hot chocolate, right?
And now we've made it to the big ticket items on my Disney Bucket List. I'm not sure if two of these will ever happen, but never say never.
Visit Disneyland: Yes, it's true. I have yet to make it to the West Coast to visit Disneyland. I have a Pinterest Board dedicated to "Disneyland. Someday." ...and my husband and I keep talking about planning a trip out west. As a lifelong Disney fan I know I MUST make it to Disneyland. Soon. Very soon!
Visiting Disneyland and Walt Disney World on the same day: I love watching people do the 6-park-one-day challenge. It is totally possible. I just need to make it happen. Who's with me? Also, I want to visit all four theme parks at Walt Disney World in one day. All I need is a Park Hopper and good walking shoes!
And my final Disney Bucket List item is...
Disneyland Paris: For a few minutes last year I thought maybe I would have a chance to get to Disneyland Paris, but then we looked at the family budget and nixed that idea. And so I am still dreaming about the day that I get to (1) visit Paris and (2) spend a day or two at Disneyland Paris. Sure, there are other Disney Parks around the world that would be great to visit, but Paris is at the top of my list.
So, what's on your Disney Bucket List? I'd love to hear about it! Share your top bucket list items in the comments.
Many thanks to the Disney Food Blog for use of their photos.

Backstage tour of horticulture! I think this would be very interesting to see where and how they grow all the plants, flowers, trees, etc.

We did the backstage tour of horticulture (Behind the Seeds) a few years ago... It was a lot of fun with a few magical samples and interactions. Very affordable tour and interesting. I just wish I could bring a hydroponics set-up and Disney pro back north with me for my garden.
