Walt Disney World Resort Removes Confederate Flag from Display in American Adventure Pavilion

The Walt Disney World Resort has recently removed two controversial items from its theme parks. A confederate banner was removed from a flag display at Epcot's American Adventure pavilion and a bust of comedian Bill Cosby was removed from Disney's Hollywood Studios.

New Entertainment Experience Introduced throughout Epcot’s World Showcase

Disney has recently introduced several new entertainment experiences in World Showcase following last year's departure of acts including Off Kilter and Mo'Rockin'. The new acts include an acoustic band, a flag-throwing team, and even Canadian Lumberjacks.

Fourth of July at Walt Disney World Includes Patriotic Fun and Entertainment for Guests

The summer season at Walt Disney World is in full swing, and the Fourth of July is just around the corner.

Guests who visit Walt Disney World on July 3 and 4 will be able to celebrate Independence Day with special tributes in several of the resort's theme parks.

The Magic Kingdom is celebrating the Fourth of July with a 14-minute, 360-degree fireworks display, Disney's Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky." The fireworks display is planned for July 3 and 4 at 9 p.m.

April Merchandise Events Planned for Walt Disney World Resort

The Walt Disney World Resort has announced a full slate of special merchandise events for this month.

Spring is in full bloom at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, and through April 6 guests can get a peek at the Fairy Houses being built around the World Showcase promenade. And through May 18, guests at the Festival have a chance to meet with representatives from Rinse Bath and Body Co. to learn all about the products.

World Showcase To Receive Updated Costumes

In what looks to be an effort to update Epcot's World Showcase, Disney Imagineers are hard at work designing new costumes for cast members at the pavilions.

It's reported guest feedback has indicated the Showcase is "somewhat dated" with the costumes being one of the "biggest issues." In order to remedy this and present a more current version of the world, Disney Imagineering is designing brand new outfits for the World Showcase.
