What We Love Most about Epcot’s Italy Pavilion

Epcot's Italy pavilion has always ranked in my top two or three favorite pavilions in World Showcase thanks in part to the overall beauty of the area. Also it's the closest I'll find myself to Venice (or any other spot in Italy) anytime soon.

Take Some Time to Explore Epcot's Italy Pavilion

The Italy Pavilion has always been a favorite place to spend some time exploring during any trip to Epcot. Perhaps it's because the pavilion is as close as I'm getting to Venice any time soon.

The pavilion is, after all, modeled after St. Mark's Square in Venice, complete with a replica of Venice's fourteenth century Doge's Palace and the Campanile di San Marco (the bell tower of St. Mark).

Italy in Epcot: The 'Campanile di San Marco'

The design of Epcot's Italy Pavilion was created to showcase hallmarks of Italian architecture. The pavilion is modeled after St. Mark's Square in Venice with the large tower in the central plaza representing a one-fifth scale model of the 'Campanile di San Marco', the Bell tower of St Mark from the classic Italian city of Venice.
