Auntie Kau’i Still Teaching the Hula to Guests at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

If you've been at Disney's Polynesian Village at any time since the resort opened, you may have had a chance to interact with Auntie Kau'i.

Anake "Auntie" Kau'i Brandt has been a part of the hotel for more than 30 years and was recently featured as one of Central Florida's Most Fascinating People by the Orlando Sentinel.

The 82 year old was born in Honolulu in 1932 and came to Florida in 1971 to help open the Polynesian and she's been there ever since.
