20 Ideas to Add Romance to Your WDW Getaway

Planning a Disney Honeymoon or just looking to take a romantic break? Need some ideas for adding a little romance to your Disney Vacation? Here's a list of just a few ways you can add some romance to your vacation. Which are your favorites? Add on to my list!

  1. Get away from it all by unplugging - turn off your electronics and be all in for the person you're with.
  2. Add on a romantic floral package with fun extras - like rose petals on the bed and champagne for two.
  3. Plan a special meal at one of the fine signature restaurants
  4. Request the honeymoon suite - just because
  5. Order breakfast from room service - and don't leave the room until way past noon
  6. Make a stack of special vacation love coupons - because standing in line for Dole whip while she shops is awesome
  7. Go window shopping for souvenirs, then circle back and buy something your better half admired
  8. Plan a surprise trip
  9. Use the "Do Not Disturb" sign
  10. Take a bubble bath together - DVC 1Bdr and larger villas have giant jacuzzi tubs
  11. Upgrade to the concierge level and indulge in evening cordials and turn down service
  12. Write a love letter to your partner saying what a wonderful time you're having and send it home
  13. Take a stroll hand-in-hand along the waterfront - The lights reflecting on Crescent Lake are especially pretty
  14. Schedule a couples massage at one of the Disney Spas or in Room
  15. Book a carriage ride at Port Orleans or Fort Wilderness
  16. Book a Private Fireworks Cruise
  17. Make sure your companion has their picture taken with their favorite character
  18. Hold hands in queue
  19. Watch the fireworks snuggled in a hammock on the Polynesian Beach
  20. Book a bounce-back offer for your next couples getaway!

I think #12 is a great idea. In reference to #10 the bubble bath idea, the soap store in Downtown Disney is a great place to stop for this. My girlfriend and I always go there and grab a couple "bubble bombs" at the beginning of our trip. I have one question in regards to the Floral package. Will they leave it in the room for that surprise effect if it contains alcohol, because I thought I read something online that they would not.

This is directly from Disney Florist site:

Florida law requires that alcohol deliveries are made only with a valid photo ID and signature. The resort will leave a message on the room phone if the Guest is not in their room at the time of delivery. The Guest can call the front desk for delivery when they return.

Anyone on here ever stayed in the honeymoon suite? I would be interested to see what it looks like and all of its amazement!

MY friend got married at WDW and stayed at the GF Honeymoon Suite. Yea, it looked amazing....

Great list! I've accomplished a few of those items!

It is an offer to rebook another vacation before you leave, they usually give a really big discount or free dining, we have gotten 35% off already, but it's usually always room only. Thats still a heck of a deal, especially if you are doing deluxe resorts.

Really like this post.
And I am adding number 12 to my list.
I think if I was adding to your list would be going Goofy's Candy shop in DTD and making a carmel apple together to share as we window shop "holding hands" in DTD.

Mrhub...if you take the offer and book a room....do they require the $200 down right away..?

Yes, you must pay the $200 when you book it and you must book it while you are there.
