2013 Tour de Turtles

This past weekend the Sea Turtle Conservancy & University of Central Florida researchers as we attach a satellite-transmitter on a loggerhead sea turtle as part of the 2013 Tour de Turtles marathon.

What? No love for the turtles?

Disney Parks Blog posted more information on the annual event on their website last week.

I would love to go see this! But then maybe I'm just looking for a reason to visit the Vero Beach Resort.

I admit, I've been checking on all the turtles! I'm very fond of Panama Jackie. She's had a great trip so far, including a little stop over in Cancun (where I assume she got her turtle groove on) then across the Gulf to Galveston and now heading east. Maybe over to the Florida panhandle? Speaking of which - Ripley is right outside of Port Canaveral!
