ADRs -- When do you make 'em?

Do you call right at 180 days, or wait until the last minute? How's the outcome?

I make them right at the 180 day mark. Always get them all ,although sometimes I have to be just a bit flexible on the time. When Disney did that 90 day bit last year and I called at about 84 days there were 2 that I could not get and that never changed. I do think it probably depends on where you are trying to get into though.

Do you guys usually do a Le Cellier? I'm curious if the 180 day mark is a surefire way to get in there.

I'll interject, cdub, and say that I think the only surefire way is to call at 180 days and be staying in a Disney resort so that you can book all 10 days out. Even that's not surefire, but it sure does give you a better shot.

Yes, cdub, we always do Le Cellier and we do always stay in a Disney resort so that could be why I always get them. That is one that I could not get the time we went during the 90 thing. We have found a few that you can get even up to the last minute though. Fultons is one that you can wait until the last minute and still get in. Keep in mind though that we always go during the slow times. This June is our first adventure in going during a busy time and going in the summer. My guess is it will probably be the one and only summer visit for us.

I'll have to jump on the 180 days out bandwagon, that is what we did on our last trip and we got all of our requests at our prefered times except for one reservation that we had to get for a half hour later than we would have liked.
Of course I would prefer if we did not have to do ADR's at all because I do not really know 6 months ahead of time where I would have a craving or a desire for.

There are a lot of places we can get at the last minute pretty consistently, but we usually go at off times. Le Cellier is, of course, not one of them.
