Anybody read romance novels?

Yeah, I know. This is WAY off the topic of the website.

But not really.

Romance novelist Teresa Medeiros lives in my town, and we see her and her husband socially on occasion.

I was talking to her today about a project and the subject of Disney came up. She hasn't been to Disney World since she was in grade school, and we don't think her husband has ever been!

Well, thats what we bought the DVC membership for, so I invited them for a trip sometime in the near future! Can't wait to indoctrinate them to the ways of the Mouse!!

(I keep trying to get her to name a character in one of her novels 'Edward', but she says she has to wait until she has a 'Snidely Whiplash" type character with a big handlebar moustache to twirl.)

Ha! I saw the title of this post and thought..."Edward watches soap operas AND reads romance novels? Interesting..." Laughing out loud

I have been known to read a romance now and again, though I haven't heard of Teresa. Any good titles you can share?

Sounds like a lot of fun, too! It's always a great time to bring someone new to your favorite place and share all of your most-loved things about it.

I have never tried romance novels...maybe I will try hers because of this connection. I do love all other kinds of books!

How cool, MouseTraveler! I look forward to hearing about your planning. What resort do you think you'll "start them out" on?

Also, did you ever pick a mod for your trip with your dad?

The dad trip has taken a twist. My friends from Britain are taking the January 9th Western Caribbean cruise on Disney, so if everything works out, we're going on that and my dad has agreed he'd like to go. I never thought he'd be excited about a cruise, but he is.

Several things have to happen before this, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Under this scenario, we'd probably take a separate trip in October to Vero for a few days, then meet up with my dad for about four nights at WDW.

As for a 'starter resort' for my friends, I'd probably either do my home resort of Old Key West, or I might do the Wilderness Lodge. It might be a last minute trip, so it might depend on whats available.

Sounds great, MT. DW does romance novels now and again; I'll share the link with her.

As MT was talking I started thinking. You know Disney should really pay all of us. We're all devout Disney evangelists. I bet we each account for at least 1 or 2 Disney lovers that we've converted. Where's our discount!?!?
