I am so glad the players and owners signed a deal to get on with this year's football season. I don't know what I would do on Sundays if there wasn't any football this year. What's your favorite team?
I'm originally from southwestern PA so I was born and raised a Steelers fan. My fantasy football team's name is the Gargoyles.
Since I live in Columbus, Ohio... my loyalty is to Ohio State. But after this last fiasco... its like losing your best friend almost. So I don't know how much football I'm gonna watch this season. The NFL Strike made me mad... especially the players side. Both sides were jerks to be honest... so I'm on the fence with that as well... BUT... when I do watch football. I pull for the Steelers.

even though I am born and raised in Texas, i just have to say... because of my northern family... GO PACK GO!!!!
I am SOOOO ready for some football!! I am a NY Giants fan, not for any particular reason. My dad was always a LA Rams fan but they left us so I decided on another team, lol. Andy is a Denver Broncos fan, that is his dad's team so that is how he came into that one.
I'm definitely ready for some college football...love my Florida Gators! I'm also a Denver Broncos fan but I'm nowhere near as faithful when it comes to watching their games 
We're Georgia Bulldawgs fans on the collegiate level, but I leave a little room in my heart for WVU as well, and we'll pull for SEC teams in the bowls. As for NFL, we don't really have a favorite, though we gravitate toward the Steelers. Mostly, we like to see how the season unfolds. But we prefer to watch college football.
Can't wait to get the season started!

oh yes! Dave loves professional football..while I like it I dont really get too excited about it. He loves the Panthers.
However, I have a true love for the Carolina Gamecocks. So does Dave but if he had to choose he would pick the NFL. We live in Columbia, where the school is, and the first week in September the air starts to smell like football and I get a little nuts.
I will usually pull for other SEC teams if we arent playing them..however I am totally conflicted about Cam Newton being a Panther this year because I totally hated him a few months ago.

I told Dave today that I think I will continue to hate him until he either proves himself a good player & then I will love him or he proves himself an awful NFL player where I will cheer with glee..because I was raised a Gamecock..I just married into this Panther stuff.

Bahahahaha! Love it! I had a REALLY hard time with Nick Saban for an awfully long time. But I can tolerate him now. And now that Lane Kiffin has cleared outta Tennessee, there really isn't anyone that I can't stand in the SEC. I still want GA to win...but I'll cheer for the rest of you over just about anyone else. (Except WVU. They even trumped UGA in the Sugar Bowl a few years back.)
Whew! I'm exhausted. But yeah. That Cam kid seems like a twerp.
I'm signing up for a second fantasy football league this year. The Gargoyles is my team name for the league I have been in. I have to come up with a team name and was thinking something Disney related. Any suggestions?
