WDW has officially announced the opening dates for art of animation. They are as follows

Finding Nemo- May 31st
Cars- June 18th
Lion king- August 10th

They will start taking bookings tomorrow.... Sorry I don't have a link to a story for this. I'm at work and saw it on Facebook and wanted to be the first to get on here and post it Smile

That's awesome that they are ahead of schedule. I can't wait to take a walk over there when I'm at Pop Century.

That was exactly what I was thinking.... But you can't stay here with DVC can you?

No it is NOT a DVC resort. I should also say that you can stay in any resort for DVC points BUT the amount of points needed for getting a room are outrageous, Very outrageous, and much cheaper to pay rack rates.

I am SO excited that it officially opens the 31st. We leave the 2nd and I was totally planning on sneaking in and taking pictures but now I won't have to! Is anyone made plans to stay there yet? I heard a rumor that the family suites were opening first followed by the rooms--is that true?

Yes. Little Mermaid has regular rooms and the other three are family suites.

I can't wait to take a walk through there. It will be so much better than trying to get pictures around the big wall that was built on the Generation Gap Bridge.
