B Resort & Spa

Has anyone been by the B Resort & Spa in Disney's Hotel Circle yet?

It looks very modern and trendy. I'm wondering if anyone has eaten over there, or made a stop at their spa?

I want to get by there. I hear they have a BBQ restaurant that I would like to try!

DH and I stayed here over Thanksgiving week. We were very happy with our experience. I admit I'm a hotel snob and I won't stay below a 4 star in Orlando. I thought B Resort was 4 star, especially compared to some of the other 4 star hotels close to Disney. We will definitely go back.

Food:
They are redoing the restaurant in the hotel, and they no longer have the BBQ American restaurant. DH was especially bummed about no BBQ! They hadn't updated their website to reflect the change when we were there in Nov-Dec and no one we asked seemed to know what they were going to do with the restaurant for lunch or dinner.
We went to the breakfast buffet and we were very happy with the selections and food. All the normal stuff sausage, eggs, bacon, pancakes and a nice selection of pastries. There were several other selections that I can't remember but everything we tried was very good and fresh. We got there about an hour before they stopped serving breakfast and they brought out hot, fresh food for us until the very end.

Resort fees/Parking:
We got a deal through a Disney friendly website that I don't know if I can mention on here so feel free to PM me if you want the name of the website. With the deal resort fees and parking fees were waved for fans of Disney that used the link on their website. The resort fee is $24/night and self parking is $18/night and that adds up very quick.
I have a handicapped plaque for parking and the valets outside were extremely helpful on the nights that we came back and all the handicapped was full. They offered to valet our car for no charge instead. DH just dropped me off but it was a nice offer.

Disney Springs:
This hotel is very close to the new Pedestrian bridge to DS. Maybe a 1/4-1/2 mile to the bridge and once on the bridge you're practically right there. For anyone that can walk(I can't always) this hotel is the perfect location to walk to DS in a short time. We chose to walk slowly instead of using the parking garage and it didn't take long even for me, and some 80 year olds can run rings around me laugh

Rooms:
The rooms were very nice, modern and updated. We were in the stunning King room. It is a bigger room, on the higher floors, with a good view. The front desk was very helpful in finding me a room near the elevator. The rooms don't have coffee makers so if you want coffee in the room you have to bring your own coffee pot, like we do. The bed was quite comfortable.

Spa:
I've never tried their spa so I don't know anything about that.

Thanks for the great review Annie! I'm glad to hear that the service was good, and you enjoyed your stay. Bummer about the BBQ restaurant, it's still listed on their website, I wonder what they'll replace it with.

You're welcome awesome
No one, including the restaurant staff knew what was happening to the restaurant now except that it's a different name and it's not BBQ anymore. But we were there just a few days after it was changed. I think I remember the name American Kitchen from breakfast, but I'm not sure.

The restaurant that we went to for the breakfast buffet is the same restaurant that used to be BBQ for dinner. They were getting ready to change over to lunch when we were there so they still serve lunch and I would assume dinner too.

The Facebook page for American Q page says Permanently Closed. I've reached out to foodie friends to see if we can get more info.

Yep, American Kitchen Bar and Grill it is. Overpriced Southern Cooking is what everyone is saying.

The hotel's website does have the new restaurant info up and the menu looks very limited for food but lists TONS of adult beverages.
