Backstage Safari Tour

This was GREAT!!! I think it's an underutilized tour and probably one of the only ones with some really interesting, always-chainging information.

We toured the Animal Kingdom and got an inside look at the themeing choices, why they chose to use hidden barriers instead of "cages," etc... . Then we had the opportunity to visit the animal houses, see an elephant get his bath, pet a white rhino!!!; it was really a fun and interesting day (and I'm jaded and sarcastic, so you know I mean it!).

I highly recommend this. Try to go during a slow season so you have fewer guests in your tour and can get more one on one time with the guide. wink

I haven't gone on any tours, but this one is definitely the most appealing to me.

Agree with OP, really enjoyed this one! Very informative and fun to see where and how they prepare the food for the animals.

I think this would be a great one. DW and I love Animal Kingdom and consider this on the top of our list of potential backstage tours.

Do you actually ride any rides? I've heard you do some backstage learning and riding in Keys to the Kingdom.

Yep! It's very cool. You feel like you're getting some really great first-hand info.

yay I look forward to hearing how you guys liked it. You don't have kids, right? I'm interested to hear what little ones think of that tour.

I've always wondered how so many people spend such a small period in what has to be the easiest phase of life. Why's everyone so anxious to wreck their DINK status? Maybe they think they're not allowed to go to WDW without kids?
