Bay Lake Tower Top of the World Lounge

OK, so I have to hear it from DVC members: What's the chance that a guest staying on rented DVC points will be able to go up to the Top of the World Lounge? My parents are staying in late October on a friend's DVC points, and they'd really love to see the Lounge, but I hear that ONLY actual MEMBERS can go (there's a CM there checking membership cards and everything).

Any experience?

I wonder how they would identify the difference?

I think they also check keys, so folks staying on DVC member points will have a key that says "DVC member." (Do people staying on rented points still get DVC member keys?)

I wasn't going to comment since I don't have any experience relevant to the topic, but as I understand it someone renting DVC points has all the privileges of the owner.

Was just there in December. As long as your KTTW card shows you are staying on DVC points you are allowed to go up. You do have to go to BLT lobby located on the ground floor before you go up! It is BEAUTIFUL up there! muchlove

Was that your first time staying at BLT? (P.S. Talking about Bay Lake Tower always makes me hungry. I may have to go fix myself a BLT - Bacon Lettuce & Tomato Sandwich)

We've stayed on rented points before and if they are just checking your Key To The World Card there is no way to tell the difference. It had my name, then DVC Member under it. We even got discounts at some DTD stores when paid with our KTTW. I felt guilty about it but The Dave said it wasn't a big deal.
