Best Rides to Watch Fireworks From

Ok, sounds weird, but I know we've talked about watching the fireworks from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad before and I was wondering if that experience is available from other WDW rides.

Have you seen the fireworks from any others -- or can you think of others that might offer a cool view?

Riding TTA during fireworks could be nice. Although usually if we're not watching the fireworks we like to take advantage of the diminished lines and ride something that's not easy to get on.

That's a great point -- you get some nice views of the castle. Do you think you could ride the Astro Orbiter during the fireworks, or would they shut that down?

last time I was there, we were lucky enough to catch the fireworks while riding Dumbo . . . it was amazing! Probably one of my favorite moments from that trip.

Sounds incredible.

Splash Mountain's another really good one, but you can only catch the fireworks during the outside parts.

I like the Astro Orbiter suggestion as well!

That seems like the quintessential Magic Kingdom experience. We're you trying to time it or did it just happen?

That would be a great place. There are some that are just about right above you, right?

When I visited two years ago it was during a hurricane. They didn't have many shows that week. Our last night it was drizzling a bit so we didn't think they would run them. We were on splash mountain and BOOM! Fireworks! The few outdoor parts, especially the slower one that is higher up, made a great spot to watch the fireworks. But I think it's almost impossible to time your ride with SM. But if you happen to catch it like this it was very nice.

SpaceAce and ChipnDaleFan -- Agreed that Splash is a great spot to catch some fireworks. So hard to time it! Smile
