Calling the UK Red Telephone Booth..

You guys crack me up

because I am childish and bored...

As a local with a seasonal pass, I get a kick out of answering- sometimes I get only a person shouting HELLO? over & over. Must be the ambient noise in the background. If you are one of the callers, ask the female voice on the line if they are the cat lady (if it's a weekend, then I can be there). Of course, that might confuse a total stranger, but then again, we Orlando area residents are used to being asked funny stuff

That's it! When I'm there, I'm calling the phone! I'll put my best telephone voice on and pretend to be Royalty or suchlike

Though, I've never heard royalty with a West Midlands accent (think Russell Brand in Rock of Ages) .....

Last time we were there, we sat down at a nearby bench and watched as people went inside to take pics, we would call in the middle and start talking to them until we would get busted We were so entertained doing this, ended up spending about an hour on that bench messing with people.

Omg, this is hilarious!!!!! I tried calling all of the UK numbers and for some reason I keep getting a voice recording from Verizon saying that the call cannot be completed. Hmmm. Anyone else having this problem?

I found out that you can also call the Canada phone booth: 407-827-9884 and this one is working for me! I keep getting hung up on! Hahaha!!!

There is something up with those phones. Either disconnected or changed numbers.

They are hit or miss. I just called them the other night and got several people. Sometimes you will get what sound like a fax, other time you get right through.

Extremely old thread but always a hoot to do on Friday nights when you just want to try and talk to someone who is where we all wish we were. I think I'll give these a ring to see if anyone will pick up tonight. We have set at the Rose and Crown before, called the phones and freaked some people out on what they were wearing. Lots of fun.

Anyone know good numbers for these booths anymore? All the numbers I have tried are no longer working

With the Canada booth and all of the red booths I get
"Welcome to Verizon wireless your call can not be completed at this time, please check the number and call back later"

That stinks ... Maybe someone can find the new numbers. I hope they didn't just take these off line for good. I really love these little "secrets" and thought it was always cool to talk to someone at the park.

Supposedly they are closed for refurb, the website said that it is unknown how long they will be closed but there is a phone booth in Pecos Bill that "works" not sure of the number though

Okay Pecos Bill works the number is 407-824-9875 but its kinda staticy

Oh people are there I just talked to a guy who sounded very surprised and said it is raining and humid

I tried calling the UK ones in May and got the canned message for all 4 of them. I didn't take the time to call my cell phone from any of them to see if the number had changed. I will try next visit.

I couldn't call out from the red phone booths when I tried in January.

Apparently there is a phone at AK near the Andapour truck (by the toilets) that says there is a text phone at Peco's Bills. Apparently the one at AK works as there is a dial tone! Thanks to G for that info.

Talked to a nice lady last night from Philly ... Said the phone scared her and thought it was a CM playing a joke. Only one I got to talk to. Going to try again tonight.
