I've always kind of wanted to try this. Camping and RVing always seems so independent and adventurous--great in theory...until you don't have access to a bathroom. 
Are thoughts or ideas? Anyone done this at Fort Wilderness?

I LOVE camping, but have never done it at WDW. You could "take the first step" and stay at a Fort Wilderness Cabin. They have bathrooms (inside!), and you can check out the tent/RV situation and see if it's something you'd enjoy!

I have a vague memory that when I checked the price difference between a campsite and a room was not as big as I expected. Am I misremembering?
