Changed our ADR from Cap'n Jack's to Fultons Crab House... good choice?

I LOVE seafood and wanted to try somewhere in Diseny that has some good options. DH however isn't nearly the fan I am so I need to find somewhere that has some steak & shrimp type options. I originally had an ADR at Cap'n Jack's but had recently read some pretty disheartening reviews so I just switched the reservation to Fultons. Was this a good choice? Is there somewhere else that you suggest? (I've already looked into Flying Fish Cafe and hubby wouldn't find anything he would eat there)

Thanks!!

I will give you my opinion: I would definitely not do Fulton's again. It is nothing like it used to be since they started taking the meal plan in January of this year. It is definatly not worth 2 meal credits. We went several times before and it was always fabulous. Probably considered our best non Disney restaurant if not our favorite period. But now, the menu has been cut back 75 percent, the servers are not happy and , it's just not the same. The wow is gone! I spoke to the manager & sent emails to voice my opinion to them. If you go, good luck and I hope you enjoy it.

How's this for unhelpful:

We were pretty unimpressed with Fulton's the last time we went there but we were REALLY unimpressed with Cap'n Jack's the last time we were there. I know that doesn't help at all Sad

Have you considered the Flying Fish?

Wow, we're not helping here are we? I would recommend Flying Fish or Cali Grill over Fultons. Jiko Also.

Doesn't Cape May have seafood or something like that?

Well at least I'm not the only one stumped on finding good seafood at WDW then. We've looked into flying fish, but I'm more of a crustacean eater vs actual fish and the only thing hubby seems slightly interested in is the steak and there's so many other places we can go for that. Hm... maybe I'll just cancel my ADR entirely and figure out something else. Puzzled

Don't lose hope!

You can always try Narcoossee's (great filet mignon for hubby and focused on seafood for you), and Jessi's right that they have a great Clam Bake buffet (and GIANT crab legs!!) at Cape May Cafe each night. There are tons of goodies for land lubbers there as well (I'm not a big seafood fan and I did JUST fine!).

Flying Fish is very well known for their steak, and their food overall is wonderful. Also, don't forget Coral Reef in Epcot! This spot has a decent steak as well, and you get the bonus of sitting next the giant Epcot aquarium.

So there are definitely great seafood options in WDW awesome

The best seafood in my opinion can be found at Flying Fish and Narcoossee's. The menus change periodically but Flying Fish always has one of the best NY Strips at Disney. Narcoossee's has an excellent filet and usually a free-range chicken or pork tenderloin. Also consider Coral Reef for a little bit more casual dining with great seafood and steak or pork.

I'm not a big fan of Fulton's or Cap'n Jacks. The food is ok but at their price point, I'd rather hit one of the higher quality places.

I'll also mention that the steak at Flying Fish is fantastic.

I would pitch in for Narcoossee's. Liked it better than Flying Fish. But both of there are better than Fulton's - way better!

Agree. The NY Strip we had at Flying Fish, was better than steak we had at Yachtsman.

I'm pretty sure we're eating there for the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, so I am very excited for that.

I'm thinking about trying Narcoossee's, the Lobster and Fillet Mignon sounds AMAZING!

Thanks guys for your help!

This is why I love these forums!

I second (or third..or forth) changing to Flying Fish. We did Capn' Jacks on our honeymoon. Now..it's not BAD by any means but it certainly wasn't amazing.

I'll jump on the bandwagon for Flying Fish we had one of the best dinners we have ever had at Disney right there sitting at the bar looking over the kitchen, interacting with the chefs. Oh! and when you want steaks do not forget Shula's at the Dolphin hotel, pricey but worth every penny.
