Is the Contemporary too...Contemporary?

I was looking at Kelly's great Bay Lake Tower pictures and I was thinking about how much I like the decor at the Contemporary. Don't judge, but that's also the kind of stuff I like in real life. Which made me wonder, would I actually like staying there? When I go to WDW I'm not sure I want to stay in a place that's so...real world-like. They look really nice, but it seems like it might feel like you're not in WDW. Anyone feel this way?

The hotel does feel a little more real-world but I think the monorail running through it, and if you have a view of the MK kind of helps mitigate that....

What an interesting debate, cdub. I think the hotel really does feel much closer to a regular big-city hotel than to, say, Wilderness Lodge -- especially in the lobby. But when you get to the fourth floor, with the giant mural, mickey ears, monorail, etc., I just kind of feel like I'm in "posh disney world." I'll have to ponder this a bit more, though.
