Count Down Calender and Disney Trivia
My DD has decided that she would, in fact, like a countdown calender. I though, No Problem! I'll just whip together some fun Disney Facts make them into a sort of countdown calender where she gets to pull one off every day. Easy peasy, right? Well, considering the fact that we are about 249 days out, not such an easy task! I have carpal tunnel developing already I am sure, and I was cross-eyed by the time I finished last night. 93 down and only 138 left to go. Sigh.
On the plus side, I am learning so much about Disney I never knew before! The girl from The Ring did the voice of Lilo?!!? Oh my, that movie scared me more than any other movie I have ever seen! Not sure I can watch Lilo and Stitch again! Or the special suite in Cinderella's Castle? Now that is interesting!
I am sure most of these are old news to so many of you veterans, but what Disney Fact were you completely blown away by when you first learned about it?

Yeah it's a lot of fun gets you through the working day! We also did one last year but with pictures however it gave me a big realisation if "i do not take enough pictures" so kinda went overboard last September!!!!
I have to say the older I have gotten the more excited I get as each year passes and my obsession gets bigger (if that's possible!)

It is reassuring to know that as you get older your obsession gets bigger.
My sister is always sad at the thought she has not yet been able to take her daughter on a Disney vacation, and her daughter is now 14. She wishes she was able to take her when she was smaller and "into princess stuff." I can now tell her (on good authority!) that it is never too late to discover the magic of Disney!

See I was deprived as a child........... Not because of anything in my mothers control but when I was at "princess age" the only outfit I could get was Esmeralda (now as lovely a she is it's not exactly my idea of princess dresses) and then I got 2 my teens and as much as I secretly couldn't contain my excitement of Disney it was kind of "mam don't embarrass me by singing and dancing along that's not cool" however since I technically became an adult it's now the other way around and I'm the embarrassing part of this girly duo!!!!! In a good way of course!!!!! I feel more a princess now than I ever did deffo never too late in fact I'd say the older the better!!!

I made one for my GS8 but it started at 30 days out...prior to that, I planned Disney Dinner & Movie nights...about one every 2 weeks...starting a year out. As we got closer, we used the countries of Epcot in the theme in order to develop an interest in seeing each country. We did kid-friendly foods representing each country and picked a movie that was at least close...Mexico (Three Caballeros); Norway (The Little Mermaid...Frozen wasn't out yet); etc... His attitude was much better at Epcot this time.

Its still mind blowing to me that there is a short take off and landing strip near MK. It's where the planes for important people to land when coming to look at the Florida Project. Also that there is a wave machine still sitting in Seven Seas Lagoon near the Poly.
those facts still amaze me.

Unfortunately, there is no wave machine in Seven Seas Lagoon anymore Mandy. That was removed many many years ago. As much as CM's say it is still there it is not. The wall you still see was to stop erosion when the wave machine was in use. That is the only thing left.

That's what I was told. Good to know it's not there anymore.

No, I understand believe me. There is so much misinformation out there, its hard to keep it straight sometimes. But it's much better when CM's have the right information I think, rather than spreading rumor.

Right. I agree.
