Crowd Level Rumours

I've been researching crowd levels for different times of year to visit Disney World and am finding some conflicting opinions.

Specifically, I am wondering about "Jersey Week" in the first week of November. Some sites say to avoid it and others say that people are overreacting and it's a good time to visit.

Has anyone here actually visited during a Jersey Week? How did you find it?

On a side note, I stayed at WDW in early February during the Dance/Cheerleading competition. The ride waits and crowd levels remained low even though I've heard rumours about that week being busy.
Has anyone else had experiences with rumoured weeks not being as they were made out to be?

JP - I really don't think either week is overrun, and they're still fairly quiet times to go. Sure, you might have a lot of cheerleaders in Feb, but spread all over the parks, I've never found it to be a problem. Good luck!

I think it's a personal decision..you have to take reviews as what they are. Opinions..and let's face it..some people are morons.

I've never been during Jersey week but typically November can be a little busy with all the holiday stuff going on and school breaks..however..it's no July or August!

What is jersey week? And as far as November goes... We are usually there either the second or third week and those are both great times to go

If you want to know what Jersey Week is all about - Jersey Week.
Its not something Disney recognizes though as far as I know.

Me and my family went to WDW for our very first time during Jersey week a few years ago, and I thought it was great! Certainly there were a lot of families from New Jersey, but I didn't think it was overcrowded; the weather was nice; and I'd go again during that week.

Travelled 2nd - 16th November last year (didn't have a clue about Jersey Week) and it was fine! The non-Disney parks etc and iDrive where deserted, it was a very surreal experience! Universal got busy for 2 days during a HP event, but apart from that we had no problems! Busch was a ghost town all day, as was Wet n Wild (more lifeguards than people!) and Aquatica. Seaworld was busy around Manta, but the rest of the park was fine.

Disney itself felt fine, especially compared to other times of the year I've visited. Nothing felt exceptionally busy except for Veterans Day. We hit AK that day not knowing and it was BUSY! But that was the only day of the whole trip we ran into crowds and queues!

laugh Thanks for the advice Bella!

And thanks to everyone. I figured that it should be fine some of the reviews and trip planning sites have really scary stats.

That's why I love this forum! So many knowledgeable and experience disney pals!

i had no idea what Jersey week was about before i read it just now (thanks for the link Jess)
I visited WDW in Orlando in 2010 - early September (like 8th)
It was pretty crowded there. I guess Jersey week is really crazy then.
