We are starting to plan a February trip so I can run the Princess half, and we can all go on vacation. All the deals are for fall right now, and I'm curious if they will run deals at the end of february or if we should just get ready to book in a couple of weeks and pay it down.

I'm not sure what the deals were (if any) in the past for February. My suggestion would be for you to book now and if something comes up you can call Disney to see if you qualify. You may need to change resorts to take advantage of the deals.
Don't forget that you can book a discounted package through the race! Have you checked out what they're offering through Disney Sports yet? You should be able to find a phone number to call on the race page. There will be several host hotels to chose from and all of them will offer bus transportation to the race in the morning if you don't want to have to drive or take a cab.

Thank you for this. I may call that way and see. We are hoping to probably fly in the monday before and then fly out the sunday night after the race. We will only need one room since its Fiance, Kidlet, and I. I wasnt aware that they did discount packages for the race.

Glad I was able to help! I didn't need a room when I went this year, but I was able to get discounted park tickets through the race and we got three days plus hoppers for the price of two days. It was a nice perk to have for the athletes.
