Dinosaur Gertie

I'm not seeing any reference to Dinosaur Gertie on the WDW Website anymore. Has anyone heard any recent rumors regarding her closure and removal? I found something about a year ago on another big Disney site, but nothing more recent. Has anyone heard anything?

We were there the day before last and poor Gertie was indeed all locked up. And she appeared very lonely. sad

It was also closed when we went in November. I don't remember seeing any signs but then again, we weren't "looking" for ice cream.

All I heard was a vague reference to Dinosaur Gertie closing. Not that I care about the ice cream, but I love the nod to the history of animation.

I love Gertie, if I remember she was open some of the time we were there in November.

sad We always stop and get Ice Cream at Dinosaur Gertie! I love her. She is so cool in the park in the water. Really starting to dislike Hollywood Studios, not that it was ever in my top list but it feels like they are just saying, well lets just get rid of EVERYTHING and start over.

Cool! I've heard rumor today that Echo Lake may be getting 3 "new" Kiosks. I don't know if that means they will be redoing the existing ones of if they will be additions.
