Disney in November

I'll be going to Disney World in November from the 8th to the 16th. I usually go in mid December or January so i'm not sure what to expect. Can anyone tell me what the weather is usually like and what the crowds are like? I'm hoping since it's before Thanksgiving that the crowds will be on the lower side Smile

Welcome to WDW for Grownups. Me and my husband and our family go every year in November and it is great. The weather is perfect. Usually in the 70's/low 80's. Can get a little chilly after dark but nothing that wearing a hoodie can't fix. The crowds are great that time of year as well. The longest line is usually Toy Story Mania and Soarin (which always have long lines) and are good to get fast passes for. All the other lines are usually 20 mins or less. Any other questions just let us know Smile

Thanks! I always find mornings and evenings to be a bit chilly but as you said, thats what hoodies are for! It's also a good excuse to buy a new Disney one Wink have you been to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party? I've heard that the parties before Thanksgiving are usually the least attended.

Yeah... ill just echo what my wife has said. My family has gone either before Thanksgiving or after, and its always been wonderful. We do prefer after Thanksgiving because they start to put up the Christmas decorations and it just makes Disney that much more magical. But with those two different weeks.... you can't go wrong.

The week before Thanksgiving is a great time to go. The weather is great, the crowds aren't bad, and the Christmas decorations are going up. You will see throughout the week more and more decorations.

November 11 is the last day of the Food & Wine Festival so you can enjoy the festivities I have been going this time the last two years and will again this year. The last weekend of the F&W Festival seemed more crowded last year than it did the year before. I think it may have to do with the timing of Veteran's Day which was on a Friday last year so people had a 3 day weekend.

I attend MVMCP last year and really enjoyed.

I've gone early to mid November and agree with everyone else - it's a great time of year to go.

Being a Floridian that practically lives at theme parks, I can tell you that besides January, Oct-Nov is definetly the best time to go! Great weather (high 60s - 70s), no lines, and less annoying touristy type people! Have fun!

I know this is practically overkill at this point Smile but I agree. Oct/November are fantastic times to be in the parks. Have a great time!

I agree! I went last year the week before Thanksgiving and the crowds were fine. We rode Test Track and then rode it again immediately after with no waiting in line! I think we only waited more than 10 min on line maybe once or twice. But yes, we never got to do Toy Story Mania because we made it there too late for the fast pass. I will say that we left on a Saturday and we could see it getting more crowded but during the week is fine. The weather was warm, enough for shorts but a sweater/cardigan/hoodie was needed at night sometimes. It was great! Its a wonderful time to go for sure.

Crowds that week are impacted by the fact that it is "Jersey Week", as New Jersey schools are out the 8th and 9th, and many families head to WDW for that entire week. Likely it will be more crowded the 8th-11th, than the 12th-16th. Also, expect Epcot to be very crowded that weekend, with F&W, as well as the Wine and Dine Half Marathon on the 10th, so you may want to check out F&W on the 11th or 12th( the last day). Have fun!
