Disney San Franciscan Living In Orlando And Working At Universal Studios.

Hi Y'all! I am new here and, like most of you, love Disney theme parks. I moved here to Orlando from San Francisco in April. I expected to be working at WDW because I came recommended by my prior workplace at the Disney Family Museum in San Francisco, but I got a job at Universal Studios first. I have been out to Disney a few times since moving just to hang out.

I love other adult Disney fans! I was amazed at what serious jobs many of our guests at the Disney museum held. No wonder they needed a touch of pixie dust while away from work!

I shall be reading the introductions of other new people here. Anybody else here who is new to Orlando?

Hi and Welcome, San Franciscan! We're glad to have you here!

Wow - I'd LOVE to hear more about the museum! I always read about the monthly events, and I'd love to visit if I ever get to SF.

We're in Orlando, though not new. Husband and I met working at Disney (though we don't anymore) and have lived in Orlando a combined total of 9 years now. Gosh, doesn't seem possible.

We are lovers of Disney on this board...but we also plead guilty to a little Harry Potter love around here as well. Smile I know we'd all appreciate insight that you could give about Universal, and about Disney as well. Since you hail from the West Coast, have you spent more time at Disneyland? Or is that a faulty assumption on my part?

Oh, my goodness! I didn't know that I had replies here. In fact, I forgot almost entirely about this board until I encountered an adult who has never been to a Disney theme park. Poor deprived soul! I am on my way out, but I will be back here.

I stil work at Universal Studios, but I sure miss some of my old co-workers at the Disney Museum. Will be back y'all.

The Disney Family Museum is a non-profit in The Presido of San Francisco. When I first moved to San Francisco, The Presidio was still an Army base. I enjoyed my time working at the Disney Museum and meeting some of the Disney Family. The best part of the museum is the view out the back window though. It is a wall-sized window with a lovely view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Sounds incredible! How are you settling into Orlando? Are you liking Universal or is a jump to Disney in your future?
