Doing It For The First Time..

Ok...I know most of us have a " Must Do " list for each of our vacations..But what is your number one aim that your going to do for the first time..If I've got to pick just one for next year it's to film the Electrical Water Pagent from the beach at WL...I meant to do it last year, and we always were somewhere else at the time..So what is yours.??.

This is small... but I really want to get one of those "adult" Dole Whips! We were rained out of Animal Kingdom on our last trip and I missed it Sad We are also going to Le Cellier for the first time next trip. We have never seen the water parade so maybe I can put that on the list....I hear it is beautiful Smile

Mini-golf. I know it is not the most exciting thing at the parks, but I love to play it (coming from NJ it is a way of life) and I am really looking forward to playing in Disney. mickey

It is great people watching, and I think you will both be surprised. Make sure you catch the band. They are so good! And Figgy, it is a great way to cool off and relax for a bit with an adult beverage before heading back to the parks. We stopped there after starting the day at EPCOT, and were headed to MK.

I have a list longer than long, so here are just a few:
Take my DD horseback riding at Ft. Wilderness.
See the park decorated for fall. Attend MNSSHP, for the extra "atmosphere" at HM.
See Lion King.
Make rope drop.
Breakfast at CP before the park opens.
Ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
And the list goes on...
mickey

Festival of the lion king is a must on every trip for us..I honestly think it's the best live show at Disney..

We finally did Fantasmic for the first time with the kids, and they loved it. Hubby and I hadn't seen it since a long ago trip at DL as newlyweds.

Make sure you try the Dole Whip! Best thing...now I'm drooling.

I want to eat at the Boathouse. We missed it last month due to weather-related schedule changes and hubby's foot problems. And I might as well add, I want to visit all the other new Disney Springs stuff because by the time we get back to WDW (in autumn 2016) a whole bunch of new things will be open.

I want to eat at Raglan Road- and see the dancing and hear the Irish music!

And visit the TOTW. That one may wait till September when I am staying at BLT.

Raglan Road could happen this trip during my time at Saratoga Springs - I could just walk over! clapping

I booked Sanaa for our "first" trip in 2010 and I ended up canceling it in favor of...something else. I don't remember what. I've tried to schedule it every trip since, but it's been too low of a priority and always end up canceling it, but I have an ADR for our November trip and I think we finally might actually go!

Last year I had the Spicy Durban Chicken, but our server brought me a very mild dish ( think it could have been the Butter Chicken ) He took it back and returned with the correct dish..Wasn't impressed ...However my wife's Lamb Shank was to die for as was my sons NYS steak...The selection of breads and nine dips for starters were also excellent..Wish I had gone for the Lamb Shank.. sad

As a kid going to Disney World was a pipe dream. We never had the money to afford a trip for 4, which is why I've determined I now love going so much. Never in my life growing up did I think I would be able to go, let alone more than once. So now I'm making up for lost time. mickey

Why bring this up? Because my slightly older cousin had a Disney World Nintendo game. On this game, which we loved playing, an entire level was Mickey Mouse going through the Haunted Mansion. I thought it was the coolest level ever. AND I think it was in one the Babysitter's Club books (remember those???) they went to Disney World and they talked about the "ghost that leaves with you". From those moments I KNEW that the one thing I wanted to do if I ever got to go to Disney World, was go on the Haunted Mansion.

If I could only pick one thing in the whole park, that would still be it.

Here's a video of the game (I hope this is ok to post!! If not, sorry!!)

I can explain! Every time I go, I always see long lines for that ride and get consequently turned off. Something in my brain just says long lines in anything isn't worth it. Granted, I know now the queue isn't as long as I think it should be but it's a ride I've constantly overlooked!
