Downtown Disney Balloon as a wedding site?

This Orlando Sentinel article has lots of great photos of the Characters in Flight basket, and the view from the air.

One of the commenters mentioned how interesting it would be to go up in the balloon during Wishes and Illuminations to see both at the same time, and I was thinking it'd be great for a wedding!

Does anyone know if you can reserve the balloon?

Not sure if you can reserve it, but that might be a good idea for vow renewal, too!

You might be able to reserve it before DTD opens or something?

Sounds like a great idea. You could bring some champagne up there, do a quick ceremony, and ta-da!

I'm scared of heights but for people who aren't I think this is a fantastic idea! I mean all you would really have to do is buy out a flight, right? I bet I know lots of people who would think that's a fantastic idea!

They do not offer this as a wedding, so I'm not sure if you can do it or not.

I know it's not on the standard list, but it's my understanding that they'll let you do pretty much anything for the right price. Though the fact that it's run by a third party vendor could make a big difference in the matter. It also it might be able to work for an intimate venue on the down low.

Oh!! One quick Google search and I found this muchlove

Even with everything has a price there are some limits. We were saddened we couldn't do Beauty and the Beast at our wedding and reception due to the locations. In general though with the right money Disney finds a way within certain guidelines.
