Just saw this on DIS not sure how true it is but if it is true does it effect you in any way or do you not care either way? i think it might change the time of year i go so that the parks are open later for regular hours.

I've heard about a lot of different changes coming. I think we are all going to have to hang tight and find out for sure.
I just checked the November calendars and the evening EMH are still 3 hours. Looking through the thread you posted it looks like this will start in January (or at least that is the speculation). I looked at January calendars, no EHM are listed.
The WDW website does say 2 hours now.
"Extra Magic Hours
Extended Disney park hours, known as Extra Magic Hours, offer a rare and unique opportunity to enjoy additional time in Walt Disney World parks"above and beyond the standard operating schedule"at no extra charge. This special perk is offered to Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and Residents and Guests of Golden Oak.
Each day, one of the 4 Walt Disney World theme parks opens one hour early or remains open up to 2 hours after regular closing time. Additionally, Disney Water Parks offer Extra Magic Hours during select times of year."
I don't see this effecting me much. I've stayed during evening EMH but not the entire three hours.
The one I enjoy the most is Epcot's EMH.... MK... on the fence. But love staying at Epcot till midnight though. Walking around in the countries...

I don't usually pay much attention to EMH, so I don't feel to affected by this. I can't tour open to close anymore like i did when I was younger. LoL! I also find that the parks with EMH are usually the most crowded, and I always try to avoid those. I don't think I've ever tried to get on a ride during EMH when someone who didn't have that access wasn't arguing with the cast member at the queue trying to get in line. That's always really ruined the experience for me.
I've only used EEMH once - we tacked a day at the Swan onto the end of a timeshare exchange week and went to DHS (still MGM then). Honestly, we weren't very impressed. There just wasn't all that much to do at that park during EEMH.
This year we'll be staying on property all week, and I plan on making maximum use of EEMH just to see whether it's worthwhile at the other parks. I sure hope it's still three hours per night in October.
We rarely take advantage of the evening extra magic hours. Morning ones - yes, we love those and during busier times they really can make such a difference. The downside the the evening EMH is that there are still so many non-resort guests around the park that it's hard to feel as though you're getting something exclusive and worth the $$ of being a resort guest. We have hung around once or twice if we have got to the park later in the evening but I don't think we've ever gotten much out of them!
We love heading back to our resort in the evening, taking a swim in the pool and a dip in the hot tub. We're always up before the food court opens so we need to (unfortunately!) get some sleep of a night!

E-Ride Nights were worth the money you paid for 3 extra hours at MK. Virtually no lines at all. The only evening EMH we attended at MK was way too crowded, so we have never used it again. The extra hour in the morning has more value.
It does not effect us much at all. We tend to avoid the park with the EMH for the day.
I like to take advantage of the eemh so that we can spend time relaxing back at the resort in the middle of the day and we don't feel like we are missing out on anything
