Epcot Leave A Legacy Removed

Looks like the first set of leave a legacy markers have been removed from the front entrance at Epcot. Personally, I never liked them so I'm happy to see them go. Interesting choice with them leaving the off colored "scars" on the ground. I'm sure that's just to save money for whatever is coming next. I'm also excited to see what the new space will look like after its remodel!

I'm sure in the time it would take to fix the "scars" they will be ripping it all up to start the new stuff.

Speaking of the entrance, are they still shutting down Spaceship Earth for refurb?? I feel like that was happening and should have already started unless I imagined all that.

No spaceship is going down for a refurb next year.

I think they are eventually going to redo the pavement but that is probably down the line. I couldn't be happier that the Leave a legacy has been moved. I also think it was bad show to have many of the pillars empty.

Sorry - that is totally what I meant. Colored concrete costs more than plain gray concrete, so my thought is that it was a money saving move. Why spend the extra on the colored concrete when you are just going to tear it up in a few more months for the overall redesign.

I have a tile there with my ex husband and I on it. It is horrendous (I get on fine with my ex but the etched picture is disgustingly bad) so glad it is "going"
