I would have to say that my favorite land, by appearances, is Adventureland. I haven't seen new Fantasyland yet, but I have a feeling I'm going to like that the most based on the architecture mickey

I think, based on last time I was there, I have to go with the Echo Lake area of DHS. I know Gertie is supposed to be campy, like Dinoland, but I feel like it was just more run down and dirty than other areas sad

I agree about Aerosmith, but to be honest, I never was a fan, so it might be still great to others. The ride for us can get a bit much because we all wear glasses. With them they can end up...well...not on your face. And with out them, it's even more of a blur.

I rode RocknRoller Coaster in October and it definitely is a one and done for me. I wore contact lenses and with the speed of the coaster had to keep my eyes closed for fear my lenses would dry out and pop out of my eyes.

As for dino land here is a link to the backstory http://land.allears.net/blogs/jackspence/2009/08/chester_and_hesters_dinorama.html

The details and theming are simly amazing and some of the best imagineering work in the last 20 years, universal could not pull of dino land, just look at their crummy attempt at a carnival in Springfield.

Thanks for posting this Phil - I had no idea, but now it all makes perfect sense.

Favourite land would have to be Liberty Square in MK - as alicemouse said, it has so much hidden symbolism and I love HM!

Least favourite would have to be FW at Epcot. The only things we do it that area is Soarin', Living with the Land, Spaceship Earth and shop in Mouse Gears. Test Track is ok, but since the FP+ line now makes you go thru to "build" your own car, Ken and I are done with that ride. We have never really done anything in Innoventions either - no interest.

Great thread!!

I love Main Street, too! It is a welcoming hug when you walk in! I also love Epcot - world showcase as a whole, but France (bakery and wine) and Germany (beer), and Norway(filled pretzels and toasted ham, cheese, and Apple Sammie) in particular! laugh

I have never been fond of. . . Tomorrowland. Not sure why. Just not a 'stop and soak it in' land. Maybe. I guess.

And I my two-bits on Dinoland. . . I like it. It reminds me of the roadside Dino/fossil stops my Dad LOVED to find on our travels! It isn't tacky - it is mom and pop kitsch. Think Bottle House, Ball of Twine, Paul Bunyan & Babe the Blue Ox. . .
If we can give it up and believe we're in 1890's Main Street, then embrace the roadside stop of 1950s Dinoland!!!

My favorite land is New Orleans Square in Disneyland, but if we're sticking to WDW then I would have to say it's Adventureland. I have to wonder if that has something to do with Pirates being in both places.

My least Favorite is probably Dinoland at Animal Kingdom, I usually just walk right by.
