Favorite Buffets

Thought I'd stick a poll up here to see what buffets everyone likes best. I think they're different when you're there without kids -- you're not so tied to which characters you're seeing, etc.

Well we have only been to two that I can recall, chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace and Crystal palace wins hands down between those two so I voted for that. We are trying the Tusker House this trip so I'll let you know what I think of that for breakfast.
Scrappy reminded me we did do Cape May Cafe for dinner years ago and that was pretty good, I like sea food, scrappy does not.

Are you doing Tusker House for breakfast lunch or dinner, MrHub? I really like that place!

I voted Boma; it's always good and I like the "grown-up" food choices. The soups are delicious, and the desserts seem more adult somehow. Plus, you have some nice wine choices. I really like it.

It's a close call between Tusker House and Crystal Palace for me. I go with Crystal Palace because of the history I think.

Hands down, no contest for Boma. It's my favorite restaurant anywhere.

Though I do like Crystal Palace quite a bit also.

Admin, we're doing Tusker House for breakfast.
Never ate there before or Boma. I'll let you know how we like it. Maybe we'll try Boma next trip.

HaHa! Well, we're glad you've got it with you so we can see what you're up to!

Also, I voted Crystal Palace; it's such a beautiful restaurant, and the food is some of the best buffet food in WDW in my opinion.

I have to admit I assumed breakfast on this question. Boma for dinner is my favorite buffet.

I went with Crystal Palace - I have only done that and Boma though. I want to try Tusker House.

Do you think teacherdrama will be mad that you betrayed his favorite?

I also thought I'd mention that while Cape May Cafe isn't my favorite, I think it's definitely underrated. That's a great place to get breakfast IMO.

I voted Boma awesome I like breakfast and dinner there, but the others are wonderful, too.

Caitie -- you mentioned you want to try Tusker House. This could be the "meeting of the minds" for you and Jason -- it has a lot of "boma-esque" foods!

She generally gives it about a B-, C+ -- there's enough that she likes that it's not miserable or anything, she just wouldn't really choose it if it weren't for me. It's ok, if she doesn't have enough to eat there, we'll go for some Dole Whip later on Smile

Wait. It's OK to go for a dole whip even if you do like your dinner, right?

I have to say that I can't name any dishes there that I really love other than the Hummus, but the experience on the whole is usually good. It's gotten really popular though, so it seems like the service is always a bit rushed. I don't think they're ready for people who drink as much Coke as I do.
