Favorite Disney Momentos

Jo's post about Old Disney photos made me think of my favorite Disney momentos. Here are the souvenirs that I picked from my very first trip to the 'World in 1978 - books, of course!

What faves can you share?

How cool! It stays on my daughter's bookshelf now. She takes really good care of it, but the Souvenir Book stays on my desk, and no one is allowed to look at it unless I supervise!

It's so cool that you still have those books Lizzy. I went to Disney World with my family when I was little but don't remember much about it and don't know of any souvenirs. So my favorite souvenirs would have to be the pins we started collecting o our last trip. Or my Disney hoodies. I get one every year

I don't have kids, but my nieces and nephew love it when they come to visit.

Wow that's a considerably older looking Mickey. What year is it from?

I believe I got mine in 1978. I'm not sure what year the copyright is, DD is asleep right now, and I'm not gonna risk waking an energetic 6 year old!

I wanted to bump this thread anyway, cause I think there's more to say. Let's hear from everyone. Most of us have been to Disney multiple times. So, which momento is your favorite, your reminder of a special trip, or something you truly cherish? I have my books. I also have my first pair of personalized Mickey ears, which I got when I was 17, and I currently CANNOT FIND. I'm only panicking slightly.

What's your favorite? What sits on your desk everyday, or what cup to you drink out of that reminds you of fun times?

Jeff I must say that, that board game looks like it is in remarkable condition for the age that it must be. Now, in no way am I implying that you are old just that you take good care of your stuff. Smile

That game looks awesome!

I have a few favorites..on our wedding trip we got a personalized ornament that I just love and its my favorite of all our Christmas ornaments. I also have a coffee mug that was kind of a random purchase. On our last trip we fell in LOVE with the Laugh Floor so we bought a Mike Wysowski Mug..its adorable..and dirty at the moment or I'd take a picture and post it. I'll have to do that once the washer is done!

These are all so neat! I love that pen, Mr Hub...but Jeff - oh, that game is wonderful! Do you ever set it up and play it, or just look at it? Is it on display or did you pull it out just for us?

I pulled it out and put it together just to get a pic for here! I might just leave it out as a display in the Disney room.

we never played it much - my middle brother only wanted to play sports games and my oldest brother wanted nothing to do with me or the game at that age laugh

I have a set of 4 disney books. I believe they came in a boxed set. One is World's of nature. One is Stories of Other Lands. Then there is Fantasy Land and America. My grandmother would read these books to me and to all the neighbourhood kids. Three of the books need to be rebound as they were the ones with the favourite stories in them. I cherish these books as they remind me of a special time in my childhood. Think to the books were the beginning of my dream to go to Disney World.
