Fun surprises?

What are some things that you experienced at Disney that took you by surprise (in a good way?)

When I went in May of 2009 with my friend after graduating from college, we spent our last evening at Jellyrolls. Afterwords, we took the buses around and explored different resorts to marvel at the themes. We made our way to Pop and strolled along the bridge to find the then abandoned Legendary Years buildings looking back at us. After enough cocktails and with the right amount of light, it was quite creepy! And coming from the Weird NJ state, abandoned buildings are certainly a pleasure to see even from such a distance.

So is there anything that you stumbled upon by accident that was exciting? Something that you have never noticed before or a new thing that you weren't aware was open yet?

When I did my first Disney 5K there was an alligator in the pond behind Space Mountain. eek I had always known that there were alligators on property, I had heard stories and seen the flags around the nesting grounds on Bay Lake, however seeing one in the "wild" for myself for the first time was pretty shocking.

In DLP we thought we were heading to a ride but it turned out to be a dead end/ cast member entrance. They took us to the ride and put us in the front of the line.

Oh my goodness, I don't know if I'd be able to handle that while trying to focus on running. Crazy!

I took my daughter for her 1st trip when she was 5. As we were walking along hand in hand a group of people who I guess didnt see father and daughter just enjoying the sites, walked right through us. I panicked as this was a large group and couldnt find her anywhere. As I turned around I heard "dad" and there she was in the arms of none other than Snow White(dads favorite!!!!). Snow White told me she had seen what happened and "scooped" her up.
