Greetings from New Jersey

Hello everyone. I introduced myself on another thread, but wanted to do it again the right way...lol. I am new to the Forum and am absolutely loving it. It's great to share my love of Disney with so many others...DH can only humor me so much. It's been a fun night going through some threads tonight...it's helps me feel closer to my magical wonderland that is Disney World.

Michelle

It's a long list...lol. I love Tinkerbell and my favorite princess is Ariel (although I'm not a redhead as my Merida avatar may lead some to believe) but am looking forward to Merida being a top favorite. Absolutely love the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, Haunted Mansion and the Jungle Cruise. Love standing in the queues as long as it's not like a crazy wait, and I love it because I think alot of thought and planning goes into the queues and there are many awesome things to see.

Tink is one of my favorites as well! You're going to fit in just fine here. You'll notice quickly that food is big around here. Any favorite WDW restaurants? I'm a big fan of the California Grill and the Kona Cafe. Can't go wrong with either.

We love California Grill as well. This year we have ADRs for breakfast at 'Ohana, and also dinner at California Grill and Fulton's and Coral Reef. We have lunch scheduled for Liberty Tree Tavern and Yak & Yeti. I know something is missing but I don't have my reservation printout. I hope we made good choices...I'm looking forward to taking full advantage of our Deluxe Dining plan.

Hi Michelle! I too am really looking forward to Brave, and I love that you like the queues! You know, we do need to stop and enjoy the detail. While I don't relish super long lines (I'm talking an hour+) you're right, there's so much to look at often. And people watching is always good times!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. @JoAnn C....it will be the first time we won't be spending Thanksgiving with the rest of our family but I am so excited. We went the day after Thanksgiving in 2010 and got to enjoy all of the decorations and MVMCP...this year we have to go to MVMCP the day we arrive (Friday the 16th) because that's the only day it will be on while we are there. It's going to be a very long day...lol.

You're getting there the day I'm leaving. I went to MVMCP on my first day last year. Yes, it was a very long day....

Hi, and Welcome!!

I love Yak and Yeti...it is yum-o! And I've always wanted to try Fulton's, but have never made it there.

So, you'll actually be there Thanksgiving Day? That is super cool. I would love to hear how that experience goes! Where do you have your "Thanksgiving Meal" planned?

Hi @Nancy D...I hope we'll love Yak & Yeti also. We've never been to Fulton's either, but I have heard from others that have gone that it is good. When I get back from our trip I'll put up some reviews for the restaurants we're going to. Yes we will be there on Thanksgiving Day...I hope it's going to be a really nice week...lol. We had planned to have our "Thanksgiving meal" at Liberty Tree Tavern at MK...BUT when I went to make my ADR's the day it became available there were absolutely no reservations available there for Thanksgiving day. So we compromised and will be having our Thanksgiving meal there on Wednesday, and then on Thursday on Thanksgiving Day we'll be going to have a 7:00 dinner at California Grill. So two days of Magic Kingdom... Big smile

TwlightSparrow - I have heard that it's crazy hard to get into Liberty Tree for Thanksgiving, but it's so fantastic that you get to eat there on Wednesday! And California Grill is going to be awesome, too.

Yes, I would love love love to hear how your trip goes...keep us all posted please! (pun free of charge) Smile

Thanksgiving Dinner at Cali Grill doesn't sound tooo horrible. laugh laugh laugh

You're gonna love Cali Grill, even if it isn't your traditional Thanksgiving food like Liberty Tree Tavern, its still AMAZING food! I've eaten there twice and I still say those are the best 2 meals I've ever had.

Cali Grill is in deed very good - we went there on our last trip...but it would still have been nice to have Thanksgiving lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern the actual day of Thanksgiving. But as long as I'm at Disney World I don't really care...lol.
