Hello from Brazil!

Hi everyone!

My name is Monica and I'm from Brazil. I have been going to WDW since 1992 (I was 6), but never on a tour group, I should warn you. LOL!
I took part in the International College Program in 2006/2007; used to work in Merchandise at Hollywood Hills (gift shops at RnR Coaster, Tower of Terror and selling all the glowing stuff during Fantasmic).

I am really looking forward to my next Disney vacation on September and I've decided to join the forum to help me pass the time. Yes, I know, exactly like a support group!

Hello Monica and ! I think you'll get all the support you need right here. And since you mentioned the "Tour Groups" and you worked there, I'm sure you understand when some of us rant about them! We just got back from a week trip at WDW and there was a tour group there the whole time that we kept running into and I have to say the kids were very well behaved. There were definitely more adults with this group though and I think that had a lot to do with it. Once again welcome!

Welcome Monica! There are a LOT of us going to WDW in September/October, so I'm sure we'll all benefit from the support group!

Did you meet an Irish girl called Laura in 2007?? I also did the ICP in 2007 and she was one of the friends I made - I'm pretty sure she was in the Rock n Rollercoaster giftshop then, but I could be remembering wrong.

Hello SpaceAce! I'll be staying at the Hilton (DTD Resort Area), because my parents found out a special offer by Hilton and TAM (Brazilian airway). The price was really good, so they had already booked it by the time I found out I would be joining them (vacation from work). Unfortunately, the air tickets are really expensive and we cannot go to the World as often as we'd like to. Well, now that I am working, I'll be able to go once a year the most. My parents go more often.

The good thing is they have the EMH at Hilton, but unfortunately, no DDP....

Hey, Pegosaurus! I finished my program on Jan/07, so it's more likely your friend arrived after I had already left! Laura and I probably have a few acquaintances in common, though! That was the best work location ever!

Ah okay! Yes, Laura and I did the June-September ICP 2007, so several months after you left! I love the Rock n Rollercoaster. Even the last 10 minutes of the queue is really enjoyable, watching everyone else zoom off into the dark!
