Hello there! Nice to meet ya!

Hello! My husband & I both were lucky enough to "grow up Disney" & we carry on that love & addiction now as adults. We're DVC members, home resorts are SSR & the new BLT. Absolutely love being members & having the freedom to pack up & go whenever we miss 'the World.'

We travel to WDW usually twice per year & have a hard time staying away from Disneyland for more than a year.

We just returned from our first stay at Kidani Village & fell in love with the resort, everything was just Disney perfect! Anxiously awaiting our first stay at BLT in December! clapping

Thanks for the welcome! We are booked to stay at in a MK view studio from Dec. 16th-20th for my husband's birthday! It's an exciting trip b/c I have a secret surprise birthday party booked for him in the Hollywood Hideaway, which is in Hollywood Studios. He has NO clue & it's so hard to keep everything from him. haha

It's interesting that you have a surprise booked, we were just talking about Disney Surprise Planning in another topic. I just checked out the Hollywood Hideaway (I wasn't familiar with it) and it looks great! Are they going to bring him a cake and everything?

Thanks Brad! I will definately check that thread out. Yup, I designed the cake & sent it to the event person I am working with. There will be dinner, an open bar, cake, appearance by Mickey Mouse, & a piano player for entertainment. yay

It's hard to be excited about it & plan it without him knowing. haha. So it's nice to have forums with fellow Disney lovers to share experiences with. awesome

Kidani was amazing; very peaceful & relaxing. I loved the waterfall by the pool area, the library was just heavenly, & we played pool in the Community Hall several times.

Our studio felt like a good size & at night sometimes we'd go sit out by the fire in the rocking chairs. The last night of our trip we ate at Sanaa, which I was a little nervous about because I am a pretty plain eater, but it was delicious.

Otherwise, everything is just so quaint & cozy there. LOVED IT!

Yeah, it's going to be his Birthday party; we're having about 12-17 people at the party. He knows about the trip & he's excited to stay at BLT too but doesn't know he's having a party. biggrin

Thank you! Well, I don't really have any links per say. All of my communication about the party has been via e-mail or over the phone with a memeber of their "event services" team. There are ALL sorts of options, the possibilities are endless. From the very simple to a big affair. Not sure if Event Services handles ALL of that though.
